Was sorry to see it go, but news travels and bad news faster, I was just a uploader there yet I heard some of the behind the scenes things going on.It was great to be part of WWT at the start.

To all members and ex staff you are most welcome to stay here or use us as just another torrent site.

Well.. as once a Staff Manager there... Under a different name... I am sorry to see it go in this manner, I to was there early on.. Luckily, there are many who have come to TGx, which is great.  Happy to see many old friends here. I wish nobody ill will, despite all the site rivalry stuff and less than savory management there, so I sincerely hope MNR just decided to call it a day, and nothing bad happened personally to him.  After all, we are all human beings beyond what we do online...  RIP WWT

Together with the 5 admins and Zeke I came from Crystal Torrents. I already was part of WWT when it was still an idea and did not even have a name. The admins asked me to design the globe, the logo, the WWRG tag and set up the forums. Also to help with checking bugs and risks. I was on the conference board with the admins, but not an admin myself. 3 Years ago around this time WWT opened.

Right away WWT became a bigger success then the admins had expected.

WWT felt like my little baby to me. I put all my energy, time and creativity into it. I had so many different tasks there. Then things started to fall apart. September 2017 I got into trouble with Midnight Rider when I requested to be demoted to Elite (because of health issues). After struggling for a few months I left before RonthePirate, Zeke23, Mafketel and QueenB did. Leaving all my friends and the site I loved behind. With some people from WWT I still had contact through email, but I felt so lost and alone. No longer part of the community that I had helped build.

It's so very sad to see what happened now. All that hard work and a community down with WWT no longer working. Good friends I still was in contact with losing their beloved site.

Eventhough I left because of MNR I sincerely hope he's ok. Until our fall out he was my friend.....

For those of you who don't already know, without Angelina's knowledge, dedication, hard work and love for WWT, it  would never have been half the success it was.

Many good and bad times were shared by it's staff and members. I for one, will not soon forget it.

I enjoyed uploading to WWT, under a different user name, and liked watching the chit chat on the shoutbox. But when I and Snow got together to launch TGx I didn't upload as much because off the background issues.

So when we launched TGx we were both surprised to see RonThePirate ( god bless him ) and Angelina come in as the first from WWT, knowing them both being ex staff at WWT was a blessing for us.

RIP WWT ( But a Galaxy is bigger than a World )

P.S Is it confirmed that they have closed :help

Though I've sent Midnight Rider several emails, I haven't received any response.

I can login to our Cloudflare account and https://worldwidetorrents.to is still listed as active but I think if he had any plans to go back online, he would have contacted me by now.

All his staff, including myself have moved on and made TGx their new home and have no interest in returning to WWT, so he's going to be very short handed if he does try to make a go of it.

Sad but it does happen in p2p. I had only been there a few months when It went. I did recognize some issues but. No matter who you were It was noob status. Until you could launch a lot of HQ shares. Which I had just finished doing when it blinked. The last thing i did there was put in for my certified uploader.  I missed it by this much...cest la vie. Life goes on, and for the positive  we did save Demonoid.  Peace
