Partially inspired by true events (i.e., is about a tree). Samantha's a recent college grad who studied journalism and needs to finish her thesis. She decides to write it on a tree she's read about, a tree near which many things have supposedly happened. The locals have given the tree the name, 'Devil's Tree' because of the rumours of mass murders, Satanic rituals, and paranormal activity within its locale. As she researches the tree, she finds the truth about the rumours. Struggling with her own dark past, Sam's confronted with a the true dark force of the tree, and now must expose the truth in hopes of setting it--and herself--free.
