Charming author Tom Stanfield is instantly interested and discretely interested, like her, when he meets single-by-choice divorce lawyer Katherine Bixby, once publicly at a book-signing sessions for his single bestseller about the love for his late wife, and repeatedly privately as they are best friends in charge of preparing the wedding of his buddy Rick Wychowski and her Marcie Schlossberg. But the latter is determined to get Katherine hooked up and trusts her 'medium' manicurist, who predicts she'll soon meet her true love, named Michael.
