The third and final work of the group “People’s People”, released in 1971, is mature, intelligent music, worthy of respect and attention. The album can be classified as “progressive rock” only partly. Rather, it is simply beautiful melodic rock of the early 70s in the spirit of “The Moody Blues”, “Barclay James Harvest” and “Amazing Blondel”, but also highly appreciated by critics. After the release of the third album, for unknown reasons, the group broke up. Dave Lewis continued to record something, but his subsequent works did not make it into the history of rock music. Bassist Nigel Smith joined “Khan”, keyboardist McDougall went to “Speedy Keen”, and the rest of the musicians began to play in unknown bands. Thus prosaically ended the existence of one of the most interesting groups in England with Irish roots called “Andwella”.
Andwella (also known as Andwella's Dream and The Method) were an obscure UK/Irish band in London in 1969. Specialising in progressive rock, they were fronted by Dave Lewis from Northern Ireland, who went on to write Happy To Be An Island In The Sun that was recorded by and became an international hit for Demis Roussos
