This team was formed from former Microsoft Game Studios programmers, responsible for, among others, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. The game takes place in 1938, offering us the opportunity to control the character of the pilot Will. Due to a plane crash, the main character lands with his friend Ava in the very center of the Bermuda Triangle. The main characters are blocked by mechanical opponents representing a hostile alien race, and to make matters worse, Will and Ava discover that they have found themselves in the titular alternate dimension. Our task is not only to stop the monsters from reaching our world, but also to develop an escape plan with the help of other survivors. In total, we have three extensive scenarios to play, enriched with numerous and impressive cutscenes. The main character's special armor plays an important role during the game. Over time, it gains new functions, among which the rocket backpack deserves special attention. We can use this device for short or long flights. Interestingly, during air battles we can take control of allied machines or enemy flying saucers. Dark Void runs on the third generation of the Unreal Engine graphics engine, and we observe the main character's struggles from a third-person perspective.
