I posess a UK mono copy, it seems to be a fold-down of the commercial mix with all the things I just mentioned NOT included       mega_2122 May 17, 2022       Does anyone here know anything about the 7 minute long version of Child of my Kingdom? I cant seem to find any LPs that have that version of the song from 1968, perhaps it was an outtake version that accidentally made it onto the CDs?     On the other side of that, is there such thing as a CD print with the original 5 minute version? Not seeing anything here.     EDIT: Did some digging, looks like there is no 5 minute version and it actually runs at about 6:23. The CD that runs at 7 minutes looks like it just fades out later in the song, i guess they found the tapes for the unaltered version. I purposely bought a really old and worn-out copy of this, as the crackle, jumps, etc all add to the absurdity of the music. Seems all of them have an edited version, even the originals     LeonTP Dec 15, 2019     Comparing this briefly to a UK stereo press reveals only a few key differences.     Mainly, the EQ is somewhat lower for the UK, giving a smoother, yet also slightly muffled sound.     It does also help making the bass a little boomier and tone down some harsh parts, but for me the US seemed more realistic with the vocals and drums especially.     The US cut also seems a bit more present while the UK more deep but I dont find either to be inherently superior in those regards.     One interesting part to note is that the UK uses up a lot more space for the grooves, probably with the added bass requiring more groove separation. This does make the UK more prone to IGD for worse systems and might reflect on a lot of used copies.     Personally I prefer the US for being more natural sounding. Even with less bass, its more tight here and still decent at high volume.     Its also cheaper and easier to find in decent condition unlike the UK.     This album is clearly not that great sounding a lot of the time though, maybe because of the recording itself.     I would have loved to see a remix or even just an audiophile remaster from the likes of Classic Records, they did the other Track hits like Hendrix and The Who so why not this?       johnzorn06 Sep 22, 2019     This record musically looks like what we can discover with this strange cover : psychedelic, funny and definitly on acid !     No no, Turone was not on Acid!
